Humanities
Subject Introduction:
This academic year, our school introduced the Humanities subject for Primary 1 and Primary 4 students. The curriculum is developed in accordance with the Humanities Curriculum Guide for Primary Schools (2025). It aims to cultivate students' understanding of the nation, affection for the Chinese nation, and sense of national identity, while promoting patriotic education.
Guided by the principles of "Nurturing Virtue, Inquiry-based Learning, and Connecting Learning with Life," the Humanities curriculum integrates elements from the Personal, Social and Humanities Education (PSHE) Key Learning Area, together with Chinese culture, Chinese history, and the geography of our country. The curriculum covers six key areas: Health and Living, Environment and Living, Financial Literacy and Economy, Society and Citizenship, Our Country and Me, and The World and Me.
Through a wide range of inquiry-based and experiential learning activities, students are encouraged to connect classroom learning with their everyday lives, broaden their learning experiences, and develop positive values and attitudes.

1. Thinking Skills |
Students progressively master the use of mind maps by learning different thinking strategies and develop abilities in organizing, analyzing, synthesizing information, and thinking from multiple perspectives. |

2. Interdisciplinary Learning |
The school-based interdisciplinary curriculum integrates multiple subjects to provide diverse learning experiences. It enables students to systematically master knowledge and apply it in daily life. |

3. Project-Based Learning |
Project-based learning courses are offered for each grade level. Through various topics, students acquire different research skills, such as collecting information, synthesizing and organizing data, and presenting findings. |

4. Self- Directed Learning |
Students learn various learning strategies. Through class preview, in-class presentations, note-taking, and other activities, they build the ability for self-directed learning. |
